Cádiz is a city in southwestern Spain, in the region of Andalusia. It is located 120 km south from Sevilla, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, and offers a plethora of outdoor activities.
Inhabited since 1100 BC by the Phoenicians, Cádiz is one of the oldest city in Spain and Western Europe. We can still find some ruins of more than 3,000 years, as well as fortifications surrounding the city. Numerous monuments shows that many different populations used to live in the area, among them we have the cathedral, the walls, the Roman theatre, the Tavira tower and Plaza de España.
The city benefits from a wide sandy beach that extends over several kilometers, as well as the Bahía de Cádiz Natural Park located nearby.
The Bay of Cádiz consists of marshland, beaches, reed and sand dunes. Here, you will be able to practice outdoor activities such as sailing, windsurfing and hiking. Nature lovers will also have the opportunity to gaze at various birds living in the area, such as flamingos and sea eagles.
The wide beach of Cádiz provides a plethora of nautical sports that you can practice alone, with your family or friends. It includes kayaking, jet skiing, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, or even surfing and kitesurfing in Tarifa, in southern Cádiz.
