Cantabria is a Spanish autonomous community located north of Spain boarding with the Cantabrian Sea. The spot has the perfect combination between beaches, mountains and valleys, making it an adventure playground for travellers.
This Spanish city is one of the vastest archaeological regions in Europe; it has the highest density of caves with rock art in the world (more than 60) like the Covalanas Cave that has rock art from 20,000 years ago! Also, the UNESCO named 9 of the cavities in the area as World Heritage due to its valuable Palaeolithic heritage. With more than 6,500 cavities of stunning geological formations, this caving paradise needs to be explored by you.
The unique environment of the region offers ideal natural spots to ensure explorers to have the best time. An area filled with surprises, Cantabria is home of the Natural Park of Los Collados del Ason that has a great deal of caves, ravines hiking paths and climbing schools that have over 300 clamber lines.
Moreover, it has 220 km of coastline with over ninety beaches to choose from, where the water temperature is above 20°C during the summer. The beaches El Sadrinero & Oyambre are ones of the most visited, where you can easily find SUP lessons, surf & kitesurfing courses or enjoy of a canoe-kayaking ride.
