Soon after, Antoine Labelle, the explorer and priest who organized the climb, decided to divide the Tremblant region into 29 counties.

In 1937, Joe Ryan, a wealthy American explorer, decided to climb Mont Tremblant to its peak and became the first man to conquer the mountain. Once back in the village, he decided to create a ski resort with the same name as the mountain. This project was a success, and today Mont Tremblant is known throughout North America!

Located between Mont Tremblant National Park and the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve, the village benefits from numerous lakes, including the large Lac Tremblant, and streams.
