Practical information
A group surf lesson on the Trois-Bassins surf spot in groups of 2 to 8 students.
⚠️ Important: for the activity to take place, the shark watches must be present and the ocean visibility must be good so that you can surf in the best conditions, without the risk of sharks. If there is the slightest risk, it is possible to postpone the lesson or to replace it by stand-up paddle in the lagoon of Saint-Gilles.
- Meeting at the Trois-Bassins beach to check that the weather and shark conditions are suitable for surfing
- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- Technical briefing on the beach: presentation of the spot, the sport, warm-up, etc.
- Launch for 1 to 1 hour and 15 minutes of surfing lessons
- Debriefing, equipment storage and end of the activity
All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.
A minimum number of 2 participants is required to run this activity.
For minors taking part in the activity, a registration form including parental authorisation must be completed on site.
⚠️ Please note for Saturday classes: the 9.30 a.m. class is only open to teenagers and adults for advanced training, the 11.30 a.m. class is for teenagers and adults at beginner and intermediate levels, and the 1.30 p.m. class is for children (under 12).
Surfing is back in Reunion Island, but with strict conditions: it is imperative that shark watches are present and that the water visibility is good enough to guarantee optimal safety.
If the activity cannot be guaranteed, you can either ask for a postponement, a refund or change to a stand-up paddle activity in the lagoon of Saint-Gilles.
