Unleash your wild side in one of Spain’s most special national parks on this all-action canyoning adventure in La Molina gorge! Nestled in the heart of the Picos de Europa – jump, scramble, climb and slide through this unique ravine in Asturias.

La Molina is located in Picos de Europa National Park in Asturias. Part of the Cares Valley, this level II canyon is located close to the activity base in Arriondas (17 Km from Cangas de Onís) and is accessed on foot to reach the high channel of the river.

La Molina is considered a category II canyon (250m) with multiple jumps, slides and rappels suitable for total beginners and confident swimmers. The full duration in the canyon is between 3 ½ and 4 hours.

Course of events

Meet your mountain guide at the activity base in Arriondas for this canyoning excursion in La Molina gorge. A half day excursion suited to adventurous beginners, this trail explores deep into the heart of Picos de Europa National Park. A 10-minute walk to reach the canyon, follow your guide as you navigate walls, steps, slides, white water and ravines – learning how to rappel down waterfalls, jump into freshwater pools and use natural toboggans to reach deeper into the gorge!

An all-action day out that guarantees to push your limits and endurance, work as a team to tackle the highs and lows of La Molina – returning on foot to your transport, where you will be shuttled back to the activity base for a hot shower and light refreshments.

Activity requirements

Activity suitable for people over 12 years of age or with a minimum height of 1.40 meters.

All participants must know how to swim
