The sleds have been used for centuries throughout the Arctic, mainly for travel, hunting and transportation. Now, it is your turn to immerse yourself and take part in this historical and cultural experience! Discover the beautiful nature of the Northern part of Norway, known for its scenic landscapes. Surrounded by high mountains, snow, and arctic winter landscape, you will glide over the snow while leading your energetic team of Alaskan huskies. A truly amazing experience that creates memories for a lifetime!

Your adventure begins with a pick-up where you will embark on a 50-minute scenic drive to the husky camp in Breivikeidet. Breathtaking views await! Once you've made your way to the camp, situated in a picturesque valley, you will follow an introduction with mushing techniques and receive some polar insulated suits, boots, hats and mittens, before heading out in the wild!

Then, it is time to take the lead and mush through the snowy landscapes of the Arctic, overlooking the incredible surroundings of Breivikeidet and Tromsø! Your guide will be there for you every step of the way to ensure your safety. Two people will share each sled, one as a driver and the other as a passenger. Midday, you will swap places. Prepare to experience the life of a dog musher while driving on the open fields and inside the forest trails of the Nordic nature!

After the ride, you will make your way back at the camp for a campfire break in a lavvo (traditional sami tent) to rest the dogs and relax. Here, you will enjoy a delicious homemade cake complimented with a hot drink to warm you up. Once you've recharged, it is time to say goodbye to the huskies, and hop on the bus for the ride back to Tromsø.

The sledding was such a different experience from things I have ever done. I was a little but apprehensive that I wouldn't be able to control the dogs but that wasn't the case. I'm a 61 year old man with reasonable strength and fitness but was able to cope fine. We were out for an hour and my wife was happy not to drive the sledge. I was quite warm when we got back. It sounds stupid but only thing that spoilt it slightly was the driving wind and snow which made it at times very difficult to see. If I'd had goggles on may have helped!! Overall I found the sledge easy to control and to brake as the dogs were not as fast as others at tinmes made out

Freaking awesome! The dogs are incredible and the scenery is to die for. I’m super stoked I was able to do it so if you’re in the city you gotta do it, you won’t regret it.

The experience from beginning to end was fantastic! Pick up was easy, and the bus ride was comfortable and enjoyable. My husband greatly enjoyed the guide's commentary and facts about Tromsø. Once we arrived the staff was friendly and quickly guided us to our warm weather gear. It was such a cool experience to turn the corner and hear all the dogs go wild with excitement. The scenery and activity itself is truly amazing. You do sled in a line behind other participants, which can be frustrating if they are obnoxious and/or stand on the break the entire time. If you can get a small group, I would suggest it!

The whole experience was great. The sled adventure was absolutely brilliant (not sure how else to describe it) and the dogs were so friendly when you had the opportunity to spend time with them after sledding.
