This ATV ride will take you on a fascinating tour of the natural beauty and important landmarks in Žabljak Crnojevića.
The ATV tour begins with pick-up from your accommodation around Kotor Bay. The experienced guide will collect you and drive you to the starting point in Žabljak Crnojevića. You’ll have a quick safety briefing and driving lesson, before getting geared up with your equipment (helmet and protective clothing from rain/dust). The vehicle will be shared between two, with one driver and one passenger. Once everyone is prepared for the ride, the adventure begins!
The trip begins at the remains of a fortress dating from the 15th century in Žabljak Crnojevića. You’ll explore the grounds of the fortress, before heading down off-road routes through the scenic Ceklin field. The guide will lead the way to the village of Dodoši, which is renowned for its charming stone houses and narrow winding roads. The village offers beautiful views of the river and the surrounding countryside, a tranquil setting for you to enjoy!
The journey continues to the Kom Monastery, founded in 1415, the only monastery on the lake that was never damaged in the war. The guide will share insights about its historical significance, before you continue driving down a road through the woods to Biševina. If you’re lucky, you may encounter some wild houses in this scenic backcountry. You’ll take a break here, with the option of swimming in the lake to cool off. Finally, you’ll head back to the fortress, which offers an impressive view of the fields and the lake from a raised hill. Here, you can enjoy an optional lunch at one of the traditional restaurants, or even bring your own food to barbeque in the shade of the trees. The guide will then drive you back to your accommodation.
