Patmos is a small Greek island located in the eastern Aegean Sea, within the Dodecanese island group. Besides being known for its UNESCO heritage sites, Patmos is home to unique underwater landscapes and pristine Mediterranean ecosystems. The volcanic geomorphology of Patmos offers a generous and impressive coastline that stretches for over 60 kilometres, while its archipelago of islands, islets and underwater reefs provide a multitude of snorkelling sites.

The trip begins by meeting the certified instructor at the dive centre in Patmos. You’ll receive all of the snorkelling gear (snorkel, mask, fins and wet suit if required) and board a RIB motor boat. This excursion is for private groups of up to 8 participants, perfect for groups of friends or family. The skipper will then set sail to the snorkelling site at the Bay of Patmos.

At the snorkelling site, the guide will go through a safety briefing and instructions. Then, it’s time to swim beneath the surface and explore the underwater world! The waters in this area are clear and warm, providing excellent conditions for snorkelling. You may spot a variety of marine life, including colourful fish, octopuses and crustaceans. After snorkelling, you’ll return to the boat and identify the fish you encountered on an identification plate.

The skipper will then sail to a second snorkelling spot in the area. Once again, you’ll have time to swim in the crystal-clear waters and explore the underwater landscapes. The guide will provide insightful information about the ecosystems you discover. At the end of the second snorkelling session, you’ll sail back to the dive centre in Patmos.
