Try your first scuba diving experience from Aegiali and discover the vibrant underwater world of Amorgos. Welcoming adventurers from ages 8 and up!
Amorgos is part of the Cyclades island group in Greece, located in the eastern Aegean Sea. Amorgos is an amazing destination for scuba diving, due to its crystal-clear waters, underwater caves, and diverse marine life.
The adventure begins by meeting your certified instructor at the dive centre in Amorgos. With this discovery scuba diving session, you will learn everything you need to know to try scuba diving for the first time! No previous experience is required - the waters here are perfect for beginners. You will start by learning the theory of diving and reading through some online materials on the SSI website or app. The guide will go through a safety briefing and introduce you to the scuba diving gear (mask, snorkels, fins, buoyancy compensating jacket, tank, regulator and weights).
This programme is offered either in a practice pool or at the beach. If you want to dive in open water, you'll travel to the dive site and prepare for your first dive. The guide will show you how to use the equipment and breathe underwater. Under their supervision, you'll practice first in shallow waters. Once you feel comfortable, you'll dive from the shore beneath the surface and discover a whole new world!
Diving to a depth of a maximum of 5 metres / 16 feet, this is a perfect spot for beginners. While diving, you will discover underwater cliffs, rock formations, and caves, as well as encounter various marine life such as colourful fish, octopuses, and sea turtles.
