Experience a complete immersion in the world of sled dogs in Oloron-Sainte-Marie on this day combining a hike with sled dogs and a visit to a kennel!
Perfect for families and animal lovers, this day of immersion in the life of a musher and his pack of Nordic dogs in Oloron-Sainte-Marie offers 2 activities to immerse you in the world of sled dogs: a hike with sled dogs in the morning, followed by a visit to the musher's barn in the afternoon. Not only will you discover the pleasure of spending time with sled dogs, but you will also learn a whole host of interesting facts about them!
First of all, you will do the hike with sled dogs in the Bager forest, a 45-minute to 1-hour walk during which you will each be attached to a dog using a belt and an elastic landyard. Children aged 2 to 6 can join the activity in a Sulky, a trailer that will also be towed by one of the doggies in the pack. Once the hike is over and you have had your lunch (at your own expense), you will move on to the second activity, a visit to the musher's barn in Oloron-Sainte-Marie: for 1.5 hours, your qualified musher will tell you all there is to know about the history of sled dogs and will be delighted to answer all your questions!
Between discoveries and complicity with adorable Nordic dogs (Alaskan huskies, Siberian huskies, etc.), this day of immersion in the life of a musher and his sled dogs in Oloron-Sainte-Marie will offer you a great outdoor experience, less than an hour's drive from Pau!
