Imberguet canyon in Utelle near Nice

Explore the Imberguet canyon in the Vésubie valley, a fun canyon with numerous slides and jumps of up to 7 metres!

The Imberguet canyon is a tributary of the Vésubie located in Utelle, in a very narrow gorge in the heart of a limestone massif. Famous in the Alpes-Maritimes in spring, it offers a number of abseils more or less under waterfalls (18-20 m max.) and many other obstacles, while remaining accessible to children aged 10 and over!

For this activity, your AlpAventure guide will meet you just outside the village of Plan-du-Var to hand out the canyoning equipment you'll need and explain the different techniques you'll need to know before descending the Imberguet canyon. Accompanied by your professional instructor throughout the descent, you'll enjoy a canyoning adventure in complete safety.

After a short 5-minute approach walk, you'll arrive at the start of the canyon in Utelle, around an hour from Nice. You'll then embark on a 3.5-hour descent through a series of waterfalls, jumps (including a compulsory 2-metre jump) and slides in a breathtaking setting! You'll finally leave the Imberguet canyon before it flows into the Vésubie, and in 5 minutes you'll be back on the road via a bridge over the sometimes turbulent waters of this river.
