With a landscape shaped over several million years, including a limestone massif formed by a warm sea, this valley is a natural area not to be missed when hiking near Grenoble!
Led by a qualified mountain leader, this 2.5 hours guided hike in the Rimets Fossil Valley takes you back in time to discover the rich history of the Vercors Regional Nature Park. From the time of the dinosaurs to modern times, the guide will tell you the story of the valley while explaining its geological formation: it's a hike in the Vercors that's both rewarding and contemplative!

Practical information
- Meeting with the instructor in front of the tourist office in Lans-en-Vercors
- Drive to the hiking area in your own vehicle
- Start of the 2.5 hours hike in the Rimets fossil valley (250 metres of ascent and descent)
- Return to vehicles and end of the tour
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the activity.
A minimum number of 4 participants is required for this activity to take place.
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. A written parental authorisation is required for minors between 14 and 18 years old to take part in this activity.
This activity is weather-dependent. If the weather does not allow for the activity to take place, we will contact you to reschedule or receive a full refund.
