Running in the mountains is your favorite hobby? Then this 3-day course in hypoxia conditions is ideal for you to train harder and discover the beautiful Pyrenees!
This course will allow you to progress enormously in a beautiful setting - the Pyrénées Orientales! Above all, you will develop your ability to run in altitude, in a zone of hypoxia with low oxygen levels.
During three days, you will train at more than 2000 meters of altitude, surrounded by unique and grandiose landscapes!
Typical program
Day 1
- In the morning, trail course, discovery of the terrain, adaptation to the altitude ... Calculation of an ascending VMA. (This circuit will be adapted to the level of the participants, so it is essential that I analyze the level of each.)
- Sports picnic
- Afternoon: coordination workshop of techniques, use of sticks.
- Educational courses
- Meals and overnight in a mountain hut.
Day 2
- Longer trail with passages above 2500m altitude.
- Sports picnic
- Workshop: management of aerobic threshold at altitude, recovery management, adaptation of downhill and uphill supports. Armoring.
- Educational courses
- Meals and overnight in a mountain hut.
Day 3
- Vertical trail at more than 2900 meters, climbing techniques. Work on resistance. Optimize your stride depending on the terrain. Passage of rocks.
- Picnic: Doc bag
- Workshop: Work on the power and the maximum climbing speed, reinforcement of the supports in descent.
- End of internship: Analysis of objectives and development of individual training plans on request.
