Either way, you and your group (a maximum of 8 people) will be greeted by your knowledgeable guide/instructor. Next, you'll depart for the scenic transfer to the departure point outside Rovaniemi.
Upon arrival, you'll receive a life jacket and paddle along with a safety and itinerary briefing. Next, the guide will provide an introduction to canoeing and canoeing techniques including how to steer and get into the canoe safely as well as other safety precautions. Then you'll practise paddling with the guidance of your instructor. Once everyone feels comfortable, the fun starts! You'll set out into the breathtaking landscapes of Finnish Lapland for 4 hours of canoeing at a relaxing pace, enjoying the tranquillity of nature as you go.
While paddling, don't forget to keep an eye out for local wildlife, which includes otters, cranes, geese, swans, longspurs, etc. Midway through the canoeing tour from Rovaniemi, you'll stop onshore and will be treated to a delicious Finnish snack with hot drinks around a crackling campfire.
