This scenic location in Lapland is situated on the shores of Lake Sierijärvi and a neighbouring pine forest used for dog sledding. The adventure begins at the family-run husky farm near Rovaniemi (pickups are available from listed locations in the city upon booking). The experienced guide will be there to greet you and introduce you to the adorable and friendly Siberian Huskies. This excursion is perfect for families and small children, as the easy terrain allows for all abilities to try driving the sled. If you prefer to sit in the sled and be driven by the guide, that is also possible. After a safety briefing and mushing lesson, the adventure begins!

You will sit in the sled pulled by a team of energetic Huskies. Children can sit inside a winter sleeping bag to keep warm and comfortable. Under the guide's instruction, you will travel into the scenic white wonderland of Rovaniemi, exploring the winter plains. You will cross easy terrain, over a frozen lake and pass the snowy trees of the forest. Along the way, make sure to take in the natural beauty surrounding you. This is the perfect chance to be alone and bond with your loved ones, far away from crowded locations.

After the ride, you will return to the farm to play and cuddle with the dogs. Hot drinks will be served around a roaring campfire. While you warm up, the guide will share some insights about this remote Arctic location, the life of local husky mushers, and more about the lifestyle of this popular dog breed. At the end of the tour, you will be transported back to Rovaniemi.

The owners are super nice. At first we got to know their siberian Huskys. Beautiful and very kind animals. It was so much fun spending some time with them before the ride began. After we received the instructions on how to steer the sled we had a beautiful and long ride over the frozen lake. It was reall magical. After the ride we could again spend some time with the playful dogs and came together at a fireplace to drink some tea and ask all the questions we had. I really would recommend this acitivity.

The highlight of our trip ! We were two families - 4 adults and 5 kids and we had an absolute blast !! The frozen lake , the gorgeous dogs , the friendly and warm hosts made our day !

Il giro in slitta prevede un itinerario attorno ad un bellissimo lago ghiacciato, della durata di circa 50 minuti. I gestori sono una famiglia davvero cordiale e accogliente, che rendono l’attività molto più intima rispetto ai grandi tour operator, senza orario stringenti. Alla fine del giro in slitta ci hanno lasciato del tempo per stare con i cani, per poi servirci bevande calde e biscotti allo zenzero attorno ad un fuoco, dove siamo restati per scambiare due chiacchiere con gli altri partecipanti, sempre all’insegna dell’atmosfera Familire che qui regna. Nel complesso l’attività e’ durata circa due ore.
