Meet adorable husky dogs and experience the unique nature of Finnish Lapland on a dog sledding ride from Rovaniemi. Welcoming adventurers of all ages on this family-friendly excursion!

This trip takes place in the far north of Finland, in the Lapland region. This area is known for its stunning wilderness, snowy landscapes and wildlife. The excursion takes place from Rovaniemi, right within the Arctic Circle. Meeting husky dogs is a very authentic experience in the Nordic regions.

The day begins with meeting your guide at the starting point. Your guide will drive you to the small, local husky farm in the middle of the Arctic Circle area, outside of Rovaniemi. Huskies are a popular breed of dog known for their strength and endurance. Due to their thick fur, they are resistant to the cold and are often found in this region.

When you arrive at the farm, you will meet the farmer who looks after the husky dogs. They will introduce you to the friendly and affectionate dogs. You will also learn more about the breed and their lifestyle. The Huskies have a lot of energy and require regular exercise to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. Once you have interacted with the dogs, it’s time for a short but exhilarating sled ride! You will be set up in a sled pulled by a team of dogs, with 4-6 people maximum in each one.

The farmer will drive the sled for a short ride through the wilderness. As the dogs run over the snow, make sure to take in the breathtaking scenery that surrounds you in this remote location. After the expedition, you will return to the farm. Traditional Finnish snacks and hot drinks will be served, while you learn more about the culture and history of Lapland and this local area. After you have said goodbye to your four-legged friends, you will be taken back to Rovaniemi.

This husky farm visit and dog sledding excursion is a fun-filled, authentically Finnish experience that the whole family will enjoy. Book your next unforgettable adventure from Rovaniemi now!

The activity was nice although a little short. My daughter was a little disappointed that the dogs didn't look husky's seen on TV as that is what she was expecting. The reason was explained by the tour guide.
