If you are a beginner who wants to get your first diving diploma you can enrol in a Scuba Diver Course or the Open Water Diver Course. If you have previously taken the Discover Scuba Diving course then it is even easier for you.

The lessons, from Scuba Diver to Advanced Open Water Diver, take place any time, regardless of the number of participants. No minimum students are required anymore and the groups are kept small. The purpose of the course is to have an instructor for every two students so the courses can be productive.

The Scuba Diver Course is the first diploma for everyone who likes scuba diving. You can have it in a short time (2-3 days upon choice) and you need to complete 2 dives in open water. That means that after completing the Scuba Diver Course, you can go to depths of 12 meters anywhere in the world.

The Open Water Course is the first course of PADI to get you to depths of 18 metres. You will need to cover the theory of scuba diving, and complete 4 dives in open water. The course lasts 5 days and the dives are going to be logged in your personal logbook if you want to continue with your diving education later on.

The Advanced Open Water course is ideal for those who want to broaden their diving horizons. You will perfect your diving skills and get the chance to dive down to 30 metres! Wrecks, reefs, walls, caverns and many more spots are waiting to be explored!

The diving spots
Only half an hour (20km) west of Heraklion - the capital of Crete - and next to Agia Pelagia, you will find a wind-protected bay called Mononaftis. There, and in the surrounding areas, there is a variety of excellent dive sites with warm and crystal clear water. You will be charmed by the silent and peaceful inhabitants of the southern Mediterranean Sea with its rocky or sandy landscapes.

Groupers, starfish, colourful sponges, octopus, moray eels and other Mediterranean fish and plants can be seen during your trip underwater. Occasionally dolphins, small stingrays, barracudas and seahorses will join you. The underwater world of Crete is rich in slopes, caves, and cliffs and offers a wide range of spectacular dive sites for divers of all levels.
