You've most likely wondered what it's like to breathe underwater. Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. We organize this activity to introduce you to this new world and to explain the fundamentals of scuba diving.

Our instructor will start you off with some basic diving theory. Following the theory, we will begin the dive from the beach. Lygaria beach is wind-sheltered and thus provides us with good visibility. You can admire various types of fish, such as sea stars and turtles, and you might even get to meet the Cretan mascot, the octopus!

Once you finished your dive you will be able to relax on the beautiful beach of Lygaria with many nice restaurants around.

Practical information

Activity requirements

Please let the instructor know if you suffer from respiratory or cardiac problems, have had a recent surgery or are pregnant. Restrictions may apply.

Minors will need authorization from a parent or guardian.

Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.

Special terms

- Transfer to the diving center and return is 10eu per person from Fodele to Hersonissos.

- Underwater pictures and videos are an extra 25eu.

Excellent first experience for a plongée baptism. The staff is really kind and puts you at ease right away. The guide takes a tour of the bay, pointing out the fish of interest, of which there are many. I haven't noticed the passage of time.
