Practical information

A 4.5 hour snowshoe hike at night in Cauterets in the dark sky reserve of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, with a raclette in the refuge.

Course of events
  • Meet at the start of the activity in front of the venue in Cauterets.
  • 15 minute drive to the starting point of the hike.
  • Activity briefing.
  • Departure for an accessible night-time snowshoe hike (snowhoes rental excluded, you can rent snowshoes here)
  • Journey to the mountain refuge with commentary by the guide on the fauna, flora and stars (1 hour)
  • Dinner in the refuge, payable on site (26 euros), with soup, potatoes, local cheeses and charcuterie and homemade dessert on the menu.
  • Return journey to the starting point of the hike (1 hour).
  • Drive back to Cauterets (15 min)
  • Debriefing and end of activity.
Activity requirements

A minimum of 4 participants is required for the activity to take place.

Special terms

If you live in another village, it is possible to arrange an alternative meeting point on the route to the start of the hike (Pierrefitte-Nestalas, Argeles-Gazost). Please contact your guide once your booking has been confirmed.

Transport is included subject to availability in the guide's vehicle (8 seats available). An additional vehicle is often required to follow the guide's vehicle.
