Practical information

A half-day dog sledding experience in the Matapédia Valley on 24 km of trails, for about 2 hours as a driver or passenger on the sled.

Course of events

- Reception at the Fournier Plein Air outfitter base in Saint-Vianney

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions, with sled driving training for drivers

- Take part in harnessing the dogs to the sled if you wish

- Departure for about 2 hours of dog sledding excursion on the outfitter's private trails and in the Seigneurie du Lac Matapédia regional park

- Back at the kennel, help unhitch the dogs if you wish, followed by a moment to congratulate the dogs

- Take part or simply watch the dogs being fed by the guide to end the activity

Activity requirements

Minimum driver age: 18 years old

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Special terms

This activity is not recommended for pregnant people and children under 6.

This activity is open to people with reduced mobility: the guide can only take one person with reduced mobility per outing.
