Practical information

A 1.5-hour dogsled ride in the Saguenay forest, as a driver (alone with his team of dogs) or as a passenger in the sled (seated aboard a guide's sled) according to your wishes.

Course of events

- Reception at the Alaskan du Nord base in the borough of La Baie

- Meeting with the guide who will introduce you to the kennels and the dogs

- Preparation of your sled

- Briefing on sled driving and safety instructions

- Depart for a 1.5-hour dog sledding excursion in the Saguenay forest, as a driver (alone with your team of dogs) or passenger (aboard a guide's sled), according to your choice

- Return to the base, thanks to the dogs and photos to round off the activity

Activity requirements

Minimum driver age: 18 years old

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Being in good physical condition is required to take part in this activity as a sled driver.

Special terms

This activity is free for children under 4 years old.

This activity is not recommended for pregnant people and infants.

People with reduced mobility can take part in the activity if their companion is present to help them onto the sleighs.

Please note that the drivers are alone with their dogs. Passengers are comfortably seated in the guides' sleds.

The ‘Family’ option is only valid for 1 driver (alone with his team of dogs) + 1 adult seated in a guide's sled + 2 children (under 13).
