Practical information
For this activity, a boat will take you from Helsinki to Suomenlinna Fortress. Upon arrival, a guide will lead you on a walking tour of the fortress. You can take the return boat to Helsinki when you wish (departure every 30 minutes).
- Arrive at the starting point in Helsinki
- Board the ferry and meet the crew
- The boat adventure begins!
- Travel along the Helsinki Archipelago (approximately 20-25 minutes)
- Arrive at Suomenlinna Fortress Island
- Walking tour of the island (approximately 1 hour)
- Free time to explore the island
- Optional ferry to Lonna Island
- Return ferry to the starting point in Helsinki (departs every 30 minutes)
The ferry departs from Helsinki Market Square, Keisarinluoto Pier. Look for FRS Finland logos. Upon arrival at the fortress, the guide will be waiting for you in Suomenlinna Museum, located on the right-hand side of Tykistönlahti Pier (Artillery Bay).
