Practical information
A 7 km course from Ganges to the base at Monplaisir: accessible to 11-year-olds and over, this fun course will give you plenty of thrills via 5 easy and challenging rapids, as well as fun sections and inclines.
- Welcome at the Canoë Montana base in the hamlet of Monplaisir (free parking on site)
- Distribution of equipment and briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- Shuttle transfer to the start of the descent in Ganges (approx. a 10-minute drive)
- Launch of canoes and kayaks in the river a few metres away
- Departure for a 7 km descent down the Hérault River (allow 1.5 to 2 hours non-stop, more if you plan to take breaks along the way)
- End of the trip at the Canoë Montana base where you can return your equipment and take a shower before finishing the activity while enjoying the snack bar and picnic area on site
All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.
Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity without an accompanying adult.
This activity is not accessible to pregnant people.
