Practical information
The 2nd level Advanced Open Water course (DIWA) is the second step as independent scuba diver! This course is meant for the divers who after the first certification matured some diving experience. During the course you will learn new techniques as well as specialities. At the end of the course you will be able to dive down to 40 meters anywhere in the world!
The courses lasts 3 to 5 full days and it includes 5 theory lessons and 5/6 practice lessons (depending on your learning pace) in open waters. Each morning you will do 1 or 2 practice lessons, and 1 or 2 theory sessions in the afternoon. During the course you will choose 2 specialities to study among Night diving, deep diving, current diving, compass diving and First I.D.
To enroll in the course you need to have a 1st level diving certification (open water or equivalent).
Become a certified DIWA scuba diver to be able to dive down to 40 meters anywhere in the world!
- Minimum age: 10 years old (minors must provide parental consent).
- Be in good physical condition.
- 1st level diving certificate (Open water or equivalent).
- It is not recommended to take a flight until 24 hours after diving.
