Practical information
- Meeting at the Maison de Pays de l'Ubaye - 325 Route des Mexicains, 04850 Jausiers and meeting with the instructor.
- 20 minutes drive to the course location.
- Briefing by your instructor on the activity and the safety rules.
- Succession of survival techniques: learning to make a fire, choosing and setting up a base camp, finding and filtering water, finding your way with and without equipment, eating and caring for yourself, etc.
- Tasting of local products around the fire in the evening.
- Night at the camp.
- End of the course and return to the cars.
1. Survival basics:
- Preparation, knowing yourself, bag and equipment
- Stress and situation "out of comfort zone" - Management and attitude
- Vital needs - Knowing and prioritizing them
- Survival workshops (Finding and filtering water, sheltering, managing your temperature, getting by in the wild, food, etc.)
- Orientation with or without equipment
- First aid - Prevention and reflex actions
- Quick approach to well-being in nature (breathing, posture, walking techniques, etc.)
- Situational exercises
2. Spending the night outside:
- Choosing a base camp
- Setting up a base camp
- Bushcraft workshops around the camp
- Preparing the meal and evening by the fire
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
A minimum number of 3 participants is required for this activity to take place.
Picnics and evening meals are not included in the course, so it is up to you to bring the food you feel is necessary for the duration of the course.
