Practical information
Enjoy a paragliding flight over Bohinj Lake from Vogar and start your flight at an altitude of 1050m (3,500ft)!
- The steep slope and the open view towards the southern Bohinj open up an almost vertical view of the whole Bohinj Lake.
- A flight departing from this altitude should last around 10 minutes depending on weight and wind.
Course of events
Please allow for 1.5hrs in total for this activity including 10 minutes of flying.
- Meet your guide at the paragliding centre.
- Your instructor will then drive you to the site of the jump (gondola or chairlift price is included).
- You will get a safety briefing and run and take-off!
- Your flight should last around 10 minutes depending on weight and wind.
- You will then land near the Kramar Refreshment Room at Lake Bohinj (1 minute away from the paragliding centre), where your friends and family are welcome to wait and get good pictures of you as you fly!
Activity requirements
Paragliding is a weight-dependent activity. Please strictly respect the requirements below, and provide your height and weight upon booking.
- Minimum height: 135 cm (4ft 5in)
- Minimum weight: 35 kg (77lbs)
- Maximum weight: 120 kg (265lbs)
Paragliding is not suitable for pregnant women.
Special terms
Please note that the instructor will offer you a time for your jump based on your weight and the wind forecast of the day.
