Practical information

The Valcarlos canyon is suitable for everyone, with slides, jumps, water passages and in some cases small abseils.

All difficulties can be avoided. Jumps are not compulsory. Ideal for a first experience in canyoning.

Time spent in the canyon : 2 hours.

Course of events

Allow for 3h on site :

- Arrival on site

- Equipment with full wetsuits, helmet and headlamps

- Briefing

- Descent of the Valcarlos canyon

- Return to the starting point

Activity requirements

It is necessary to be able to swim and not to be claustrophobic to participate in this activity.

Special terms

A minimum number of 4 participants is required for this activity to take place.

If no one else has booked on the chosen date, the instructor will find another date as soon as possible.

Getting to the meeting point from Saint-Jean-pied-de-Port :

- Take the D933 towards Arnegy/Pamplona Spain (8km).
- At the roundabout, turn right over the bridge and the border.
- Follow the road for 3.5km to Valcarlos. Drive slowly so as not to miss the meeting point. Venta Ardendegia on the right as you climb up before the fronton. Your instructor will be waiting for you.
