Practical information
A snowshoe hike in Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier is the ideal way to discover a little-known part of the park. Contemplate the snow-covered winter landscape during this original activity combining cross-country skiing and snowshoe trekking.
Meet at Place d'Armes or Gare du Palais in Quebec City
- 9am: departure from Quebec City to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier
- 10 a.m.: arrival at the national park and presentation of the equipment and the route at the welcome pavilion
- Technical training by the guide and first test of your skis
- 10.15am: start of the guided tour, lasting around 3 hours, with skiing on and off-piste, alternating between ascents and descents
- 2pm: end of the guided tour and lunch break in a heated tent
- 2:30 p.m.: Departure from the park and return to Quebec City around 3:30 p.m.
Winter activities include transportation from Old Quebec. When you make your reservation, a seat is automatically reserved on the shuttle. Departure is at 9:00 a.m. from Place d'Armes or 9:05 a.m. from Gare du Palais. Please contact us if you wish to go to the Jacques-Cartier National Park by your own means (no discount).
Quatre Natures believes that there is no such thing as bad weather in winter. The activity always takes place. In the event of a situation where the temperature is extreme (-45 C⁰) or the amount of snow is not adequate, the Quatre Nature team will contact you directly.
