Practical information

On this evening excursion, you'll depart from Tromsø and visit a reindeer camp, including reindeer feeding, a short reindeer sledding ride, and a hot meal.

Course of events

- Please arrive at the starting point in Tromsø 15 minutes in advance

- Meet the guide and board the bus

- Bus transfer to the reindeer camp (approximately 25 minutes)

- Arrive at the reindeer camp

- Feed the reindeer

- Set up the sled

- The reindeer sledding adventure begins!

- Reindeer sledding ride in the wilderness (approximately 15-20 minutes)

- Return to the camp

- Enjoy dinner, snacks and hot drinks inside a lavvu

- Storytelling of Sami culture and a joik performance (traditional Sami
folk song)

- Admire the Northern Lights (if the sky is clear)

- Return drive to the starting point in Tromsø

Special terms

A locally produced dinner is served in a Sami hut, which is a cold smoked salmon starter, followed by a traditional reindeer stew named 'bidos'. Dessert options vary between a chocolate cake or a blueberry delicacy. Please specify upon booking if a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free meal should be prepared instead.

At the bus terminal at Tromsø Havn Prostneset, Samuel Arnesens Gate 5, 9008, Tromsø, Norway (Spot the guides with the blue jackets) There are two entrances. One is by the buses and one is between the Terminal and the Clarion Edge. The guides will be where the buses are ready to depart to camp.
