Canyoning at the Rakitnica Canyon, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The team will pick you up at Konjic and drive you to the starting point in Rakitnica Canyon. This activity is technically difficult and exertive, meaning a good level of athletic ability is required. Your guides will take you through a thorough safety brief before leading you into the canyon. Wetsuits, safety equipment and hydrospeed boards are all provided. You will start by climbing steep banks and rugged walls before edging closer to high ledges, watching the river pass below. You’ll then take your first leap into deep crystal clear waters before gorge walking and swimming further down the river. Hydrospeed boards are a great way to navigate the small and narrow rapids that run through the canyon base whilst saving energy. You’ll then stop for a spot of lunch before heading out onto larger, more testing ledges, diving into deep blue pools. There’ll also be plenty of stunning waterfalls and hidden caves in this nature lover’s paradise. Once you have reached your finishing point the team will drive you back to Konjic to bring to an end a truly exciting day!

Conditions:
The highest jump in this activity is five metres. Rapids through the canyon can take you up to 50 metres unassisted with your hydrospeed board. Very few parts of this activity require swimming and floatation equipment is provided.
