4x4 Discovery Excursion of Moorea Island

Discover the beauty of Moorea during this 4wd excursion around the island

Enjoy the most beautiful viewpoints of Moorea such as Cook's bay, the Magic Mountain or the Belvedere but also a vanilla plantation and discover some homemade local products such as marmalade or liquors from the distillery.

Part of the society islands, Moorea is just 25 minutes by boat from Tahiti. It is is one of the most visited islands in French Polynesia and there is a reason for it: it is a beautiful island with incredible nature surrounded by crystal clear water.

The adventure will start from your accommodation in Moorea. You will then embark on a three and a half hour tour of the island with your guide Frank. The 4WD will take you to some of the island's most interesting sites, starting with the Magic Mountain viewpoint overlooking the turquoise lagoon of Papetoai on Moorea's north side.
Then, you will head to the Moorea tropical garden for a presentation of the local flora with detailed information about the vanilla grown on Moorea.

You will then take a short break to drink a juice, taste local jams or enjoy a beautiful sorbet made in Moorea before continuing to the Rotui/Manutea distillery where a tasting of juices and spirits will be offered. The 4x4 ride will continue into the heart of the ancient caldera in the center of the island to see the pineapple plantations that represent the second most important economic activity of Moorea.

Finally, you will finish the tour with the panoramic view from the Belvedere from where you will be able to admire the 2 large bays of Cook and Ōpūnohu that will open up in front of you.
