Blue Ice Glacier Hiking & Ice Climbing on Sólheimajökull, near Vík

- Meeting with the guide in the car park at the Sólheimajökull glacier

- Approach walk to the Sólheimajökull glacier

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions before getting kitted out

- 3-hour excursion on the ice, including an introduction to ice climbing if you wish

- De-equipping and return to the car park to finish the activity

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Hiking boots must be worn: it will not be possible to add the crampons required for the activity to other footwear.

It is very important to wear warm clothing, preferably waterproof, so that you can enjoy the excursion to the full.

Please give yourself plenty of time to drive from Reykjavík: in good conditions, the journey takes just over 2 hours without stops, but with poor weather or road conditions, the journey will take longer.
