Lodrino is THE CANYON. The best canyoning Ticino has to offer. It's massive, dark, and deep, with a LOT of water. and certainly beautiful and fun!!
The gorge in Val Lodrino transports you to a foreign and fascinating world of rock, water, and light, with its imposing stone walls, intensely cut pools, and spectacular narrow gaps. This is one of the most beautiful and challenging canyons in the world, packed with excitement and beauty, and is only appropriate for fit and experienced canyoning enthusiasts.
Lodrino is a technical canyon with elevated abseils (up to 50m), long and fast slides via deep rock grooves, and a number of high jumps. There are peaceful passages with deep pools in between for recreation and refocusing. The shifts from the darkness of the rock fissures to the light in the more open pools will be memorable: a world so remote and foreign that time stops and "real life" outside pauses to exist.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, some canyoneers return year after year to complete it.
