Northern Lights Snowmobile Tour near Kiruna, Sweden

Welcome to a breathtaking snowmobile Northern Lights chase through deep forests in a beautiful winter wonderland near Kiruna. This family-friendly excursion is available for participants from ages 8 and up!

Kiruna is the northernmost city in Sweden, situated within the unique Lapland region and just north of the Arctic Circle. The region is known for its beautiful wilderness areas, with stunning landscapes, including forests, rivers and mountains. The long nights during the winter months also allow for ample opportunities to witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights!

The evening begins at your pick-up point in Kiruna city or nearby (please specify when booking), or you can meet your guide directly at the camp. Your experienced guide will go through a safety briefing and snowmobile driving lesson. Each snowmobile will be shared in pairs (one driver and one passenger with the chance to switch midway) or as a solo driver. After dressing in your Arctic clothing and snowmobiling gear, the adventure begins!

You will drive through the dense forests in small groups and make your own tracks, which will allow you to experience the wilderness of this place to the fullest. Passing by the beautiful Torne River and over a frozen lake, you will get to see some of the distinct landscapes of the region. If you are lucky, the magnificent Northern Lights will appear in the sky above you. This natural phenomenon is a must-see sight on your trip to the Arctic! Midway through the excursion, you will stop for a break for sandwiches and a hot tea or coffee. Take in the stillness of the snowy and beautifully shimmering landscape in the dark beneath the magical Aurora Borealis. After the tour, you will return to the starting point in Kiruna.
