If via ferratas are your passion, don't miss the Via Ferrata Croqueta de Obarra, in the Aragonese Pyrenees: an adventure only for the most daring!
An hour and a half from Huesca and between the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park and the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park is the Isábena Valley. This valley is perfect for canyoning and climbing enthusiasts, as the Isábena River flows through the mountains, creating gorges and landscapes that are a real challenge for fans of this type of sport.
In the middle of the Isábena Valley, in Beranuy (Ribagorza) is one of the essential Via Ferratas in the Pyrenees: the Via Ferrata Croqueta de Obarra. This is a K4 level via ferrata, one of the highest levels in the via ferrata difficulty classification, so it is only recommended for those with previous experience in via ferrata or climbing. In addition, vertigo is not allowed on the Via Ferrata Croqueta de Obarra, as it is a very vertical route along a spur of needles. Awa Aventura's instructors will guide you on this via ferrata which lasts 3-4 hours and is made up of 4 very different sections linked by Tibetan bridges which progressively increase in difficulty.
In short, if you like challenges and nature, we promise that this Via ferrata Croqueta de Obarra will not leave you indifferent!
