The Aragonese Pyrenees is the perfect destination if you need to get in touch with nature and escape from the city. Made up of five valleys, in each of them you will find different activities depending on your tastes, such as canyoning, rafting... But if you have to choose a valley in the Pyrenees, the one you can't miss is the Tena Valley, in the Alto Gállego region of Aragon, as it is the largest and has the most canyons.
The most famous and beautiful canyon in the Tena Valley is the Barranco del Gorgol, near Piedrafita de Jaca and 1 hour from Huesca. A short water canyon, where the turquoise waters and the surprising curves leave no one indifferent. The guides of Awa Aventura invite you to descend the Gorgol Canyon in this canyoning activity of low difficulty, perfect for all ages and levels. The activity starts at the canyon car park where you will meet the instructors and they will provide you with all the equipment such as helmet and harness. From there you will start the route with a 20 minute approach on foot until you reach the beginning of the canyon. From then on, get ready for the fun: jumps, slides and two rappels of 7 and 15 metres! After two hours of descent, you will return to the car park in a 5-minute return walk.

Practical information
- Meeting with the guides.
- Approximation of 15-20 minutes walking from the parking lot to the beginning of the canyon.
- Descent of the canyon for 1 or 2 hours.
- Return to the parking lot from the end of the canyon for about 5 minutes.

The price varies depending on the size of the group:
- 1 to 3 people: 55 euros/person.
- From 4 to 6 people: 52 euros/person.
- Groups of more than 7 people: 50 euros/person.
The guides will adapt the route and may propose another canyon depending on the level of the participants.
