Scuba Diving Discovery in Funchal, Madeira

At the Pestana Carlton Hotel in Funchal, the capital of Madeira, you will meet your instructors who will welcome you and explain everything you need to know about diving, how to use the equipment and the safety rules to keep in mind. You will then put into practice what you have learned in a pool, where you will learn how to breathe using the equipment. Once the technique is mastered, it's time to move into action in the open water and that's where the magic happens. You will swim among groupers, manta rays, moray eels and many more species in one of Funchal's reefs, a unique sensation you can't miss! And so you will never forget this experience, you can bring your GoPro camera if you have one or rent a UW camera at the hotel.

The activity lasts 3 hours and is conducted by PADI® (Professional Association of Diving Instructors®) certified instructors. PADI is currently one of the most important diving organizations in the world and has more than 6,600 dive centers and resorts around the world. So don't worry if it's your first time diving, you will be accompanied at all times, so safety is guaranteed. However, this diving activity is not recommended for pregnant women or people with serious medical conditions.
