With Clube do Paiva, you'll be able to experience the area as you make your way down a canyon!

Canyoning is considered by many as the ultimate outdoor sport since it combines techniques from rock climbing and abseiling, with hiking, jumping, swimming and even sliding down naturally carved slides! The Ribeira de Vessadas canyon is perfect for a canyoning introduction and its suitable for anyone since it's not highly demanding. Even if welcomes families of outdoor enthusiasts, it offers a good challenge! The highest of the abseils in the Ribeira de Vessadas canyon is 5 m. high, yet every single one of the jumps and abseils can be sorted in another way.

Practical information

This is an easy level canyon where you will have: a difference in altitude of 170m, you will go a total distance of 1300m, and encounter waterfalls of up to 30m of height.

Course of events

- Arrival at meeting point and introduction to your guide

- Approach to starting point (10 min)
- Descent of the Canyon (1 hour 30 min)
- Walk back to the meeting point (10 min)

Activity requirements

All participants must be able to swim.

Minors must have authorization from their parents.
