Discover the gems of Western Norway on this unique fjord and glacier tour from Bergen!

Discover the gems of Western Norway on this unique fjord and glacier tour from Bergen. Visit the medieval Hopperstad Stave Church, cruise in the Fjærlandsfjord, see the Bøyabreen Glacier, and witness the majesty of the Tvindefossen Waterfall!

Bergen is a picturesque coastal town located in the west of Norway. The town is known for its large harbour and rich history as a major trading hub during the Middle Ages.

Your adventure begins at the starting point in Bergen, where you'll be greeted by your experienced guide and driver. You and your group will set off towards the village of Vik and its stunning mountainous landscapes. You'll stop along the way to admire the incredible panorama from the Storesvingen viewpoint. Next, you'll visit the historic Hopperstad Stave church with a local guide. Constructed in 1130, it is one of the oldest stave churches in existence.

Your journey continues to Vik Harbour, where you'll board a boat for a 2-hour fjord cruise to Fjærland crossing the Sognefjorden, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. Take in the breathtaking views while enjoying a delicious lunch onboard (not included in the ticket price).

Upon arrival at Fjærland, participants have the choice to either explore this charming village (2-hour stop) or join a guided Glacier Museum and Bøyabreen Glacier tour. Then, you will board the boat again, heading back to Vik and continuing to the Tvindefossen Waterfall by minibus. At a height of 110 metres (360 feet), this magnificent natural phenomenon is steeped in local legends and myths, which your guide is more than happy to share. The tour comes to an end back at the starting point in Bergen.

Sit back, relax, and let your guide show you some of Norway's most scenic locations on this fjord and Bøyabreen Glacier boat tour from Bergen. Book your next adventure today!

Great view of the fjords and glacier, and the guides along the way were all friendly and knowledgeable, but the way the tour was structured wasn't the best - there was too much sitting in the coach and on the ferry, with most of the return leg going back on the same route, by which time you're a little too tired and bored to really admire the views. There wasn't really a proper lunch stop (you could buy food on the ferry but options were very limited). Norway has some beautiful sights but didn't feel like this was the best way to experience it. Also quite some time wasted travelling between Bergen and Voss (especially if you've already been through Voss taking the railway to Bergen), adding to the long tour duration.
