SUP Excursion on the Istra River near Åndalsnes

This 3-hour SUP (stand-up paddle board) excursion on the Istra River near Andalsnes combines nature with fun on the water! Beginners are welcome.

Located just a 13-minute drive from Andalsnes, your adventure begins after meeting your experienced instructor at the departure point. They will provide a safety briefing followed by an introduction to SUP and paddling techniques before you gear up and carry your board to the Istra River. Once everyone in the group feels comfortable on the water, the adventure begins! You'll be paddling like a pro in no time while taking in the incredible mountainous and lush green scenery.

In total, you'll paddle a distance of 3 km (2 miles) and will have the opportunity to stop for a swimming break. Or, for the more daring, you can jump off of a bridge into the water below! Since the Istra River is situated near the protected Reinheimen National Park, don't forget to keep a lookout for local wildlife. After you've completed your SUP journey, you'll be taken back to the original meeting point by car.
