Embark on an adventurous canyoning excursion at the phenomenal Nevidio Canyon in Durmitor National Park. Welcoming participants from ages 12 and up!

The Nevidio Canyon is a spectacular natural wonder located in Montenegro, in the Durmitor National Park. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, covering an area of around 390 square kilometres (151 square miles) and encompassing the Durmitor mountain range and the Tara River Canyon. Nevidio Canyon is part of the Komarnica River canyon system and is surrounded by rugged mountain landscapes and pristine wilderness. The canyon is characterised by its steep walls, narrow passages, and crystal-clear water, perfect conditions for a canyoning adventure!

The trip begins by meeting your guide at the starting point at Nevidio Canyon. The experienced guide will provide all of the necessary equipment for canyoning, including a neoprene suit, neoprene boots, a helmet, a life jacket, an anorak, waterproof bags, and safety ropes. Then, you’ll walk to the entrance of the Nevidio Canyon, which seems to be hidden, carved into a wall at the Komarica River. 100 m (328 ft) from the entrance, you’ll also find the breathtaking Skakavac Waterfall, another natural rarity.

While you gear up with the equipment, the guide will go through a safety briefing and explain the techniques for canyoning. Previous experience is not necessary, however you need to be physically fit and able to swim. Once everyone is prepared, the canyoning adventure begins! You’ll traverse the steep and smooth cliffs and plunge into the refreshing water. Most of the canyon is located in the eternal shadow where sunlight does not reach ever, creating the feeling of swimming through a narrow strait, with only a thin line of light in the sky above you.

The guide will help you overcome all of the obstacles you pass, and you’ll stop for breaks along the way to relax and take in the beautiful scenery. The width of the canyon in some places is only half a metre (1.6 feet). Pass through the mountain stream by abseiling, climbing, sliding and jumping, an exhilarating experience! At the end of the canyoning tour, you’ll return to the starting point. Professional GoPro footage of you during the excursion will be sent to you upon your return.

If you’re seeking a thrilling experience at the Nevidio Canyon in Durmitor National Park, don’t miss this unforgettable canyoning adventure in Montenegro!
