This 3-hour glacier hike in Falljökull is suitable for families as well as experienced hikers in search of extraordinary landscapes. At the top of the glacier, you'll discover breathtaking views!
When you arrive at the starting point, you'll meet your expert guide. He will provide you with the necessary equipment: crampons, harness and ice axe. He'll explain how the activity works and the safety instructions to be followed.
You will then board a 4x4 truck to reach the Falljökull glacier. On the way, you'll be surrounded by marvellous panoramas, some of which have been used as film locations (Interstellar, Game of Thrones, etc.). Once the journey is over, you'll begin your hike of around 5km and 150m of ascent.
Your guide will tell you how glaciers are formed and other interesting facts about the region during this hike in a small group of up to 8 people.
You'll explore every nook and cranny of the glacier, in particular the magnificent crevasses, moulins and other glacier formations! You'll spend at least 1? hours on the ice, so don't forget your camera to immortalise this unforgettable moment...

For those who are worried they don't have suitable footwear, boots can be hired directly on site for ISK 1,000.
