Reykjanesskagi, otherwise known as the Reykjanes Peninsula, is made up of a variety of geological sites that earned it the creation of a vast geopark recognised by UNESCO in 2015. This is an exceptional site where lakes, lava fields, geothermal zones, rock formations and many other amazing landscapes await you, so taking a trip to the Reykjanes Geopark from Reykjavík is an experience not to be missed!
In a minibus for up to 19 people, you will set off on a tour of the Reykjanes peninsula, stopping off at most of its key sites: the Kleifarvatn and Grænavatn lakes, the Krýsuvík geothermal area, the Brimketill lava rock pool, the Gunnuhver geothermal area, the Reykjanesvíti lighthouse viewpoint, and finally the bridge between 2 continents, Bruín Milli Heimsálfa. Accompanied by a guide who will explain the history and special features of these extraordinary places, you will have made plenty of enriching discoveries by the end of this excursion to the Reykjanes peninsula!

Practical information
- Pick-up in Reykjavík (may take up to 30 minutes)
- Approx. 40-minute drive by minibus to Lake Kleifarvatn, then to Lake Grænavatn (approx. 30-minute drive)
- Stop at the Krísuvík geothermal area (south of Lake Kleifarvatn)
- Drive to the Gunnuhver hot springs (approx. 40 minutes drive) via Grindavík
- Visit the Reykjanesvíti lighthouse, then the bridge between the 2 continents "Brú Milli Heimsálfa" (approx. 10 minutes drive)
- Return to Reykjavík by minibus, with the option of being dropped off at Keflavík international airport (for flights after 4 p.m.) or at the Blue Lagoon (for arrivals at 3 p.m. or later)
A minimum number of 4 participants is required for this activity to take place.
It is very important to wear warm clothing, preferably waterproof, and good hiking boots so that you can enjoy the excursion to the full.
