Vauchelet canyon in Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe

On the programme for the descent of the Vauchelet canyon in Basse-Terre, an outing in the middle of the jungle lasting around 3h30 of physical activity. The descent is built around obstacles such as :
- 6 abseils (the highest is 20 metres)
- 2 jumps (the highest is 7 metres), both avoidable
- 1 natural slide (which can be bypassed if necessary)

As with all canyoning adventures, your outing begins with an approach walk, during which your guide and instructor will explain the workings of this tropical forest (dense and humid) located at the foot of the Soufrière volcano in Guadeloupe. Then, after this cultural interlude to remind you of the safety instructions, you'll get down to the serious business of descending the Vauchelet canyon!
Right from the start, you'll link up a jump and then a first abseil to gauge your descent technique. Your guide will be on hand to ensure your safety and, above all, to give you advice on how to improve your canyoning techniques.
