Activity
Meet your instructor at the activity centre at the Temple of Poseidon for a four-hour coasteering excursion in Sounion National Park. Suitable for true adventure seekers, kit up with your group and receive a full safety briefing - learning the correct coasteering techniques - covering how to enter and exit the water, traverse the cliff lines and swim safely between sections. During this adrenaline-fuelled Attica adventure, you’ll explore caves steeped in ancient Greek mythology and craggy crevices - following your guide along the cliff line, wild swimming in tidal pools and leaping from cliff ledges into deep water plunge pools. Stopping to soak up the views of Sounio ruins ahead, your lead guide will tell you all about the marine life and heritage synonymous with this important archaeological coastline - leading you back to the beach where your adventure will end.
Conditions
Running from May - October, coasteering combines sea swimming, low-level climbing, traversing and ledge leaps into deep water plunge pools. Coasteering tackles a rugged coastal route so you will need to bring a pair of lace-up shoes with hard soles.
