Boat Tour from Argostoli in Kefalonia

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian group of islands located in Greece. Situated on the Ionian Sea, the island is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, with picturesque beaches, charming villages, and crystal-clear waters. This boat trip starts in Argostoli, the capital and largest town of Kefalonia.

The adventure begins at the starting point at Argostol Harbour, where you’ll meet the experienced crew and board the 15-metre traditional wooden boat. Once on board, you can sit back and relax while the skipper sets sail along the Ionian Sea. The first stop on the tour is White Rocks Beach, a secret paradise tucked away just south of the bustling beaches of Platys and Makris Gialos.

At the beach, you’ll stop to enjoy the turquoise waters and pristine white sand, swimming and basking in the sun. The crew will also provide snorkelling masks, so you can explore underwater and find some colourful fish! Then, you’ll continue the journey to Vardiani Island, also known as Rabbit Island. You’ll have some time for another swim in the sea or to explore this fascinating island, home to a quaint lighthouse and the remnants of a famous Russian shipwreck.

After visiting Vardiani Island, a delicious Greek lunch will be served on board the boat, featuring an endless supply of wine, and freshly-cut salads with sun-ripened tomatoes, succulent olives, and feta cheese. After lunch, you’ll sail to the final destination on the trip, Mania Beach. This beach located on the Paliki Peninsula is unique with its vibrant red sand and natural clay cliffs.

You’ll have more free time to swim, sunbathe and snorkel in the azure waters at Mania Beach. The natural clay is also an excellent skin treatment! Then, you’ll begin the scenic return journey to Argostoli. Along the way, you can enjoy a drink from the bar, listen to relaxing music, and keep an eye out for dolphins, known to frequent the waters around Argostoli Bay. The boat tour comes to an end back at the starting point at Argostoli Harbour.
