Discover Scuba Diving Excursion in Vathy, Ithaca

If you always wanted to discover scuba diving in an idyllic place like the Greek islands then this course is designed for you. Over a day you will learn the theory of Scuba Diving and you will go diving in small bays that look like paradise! The friendly instructors of Odyssey Dive are waiting for you to show you the underwater life of Ithaca. If you are lucky you may see a seal as well.

While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. You will learn as well to use the scuba gear and most of all you will learn how to enjoy the marine life for 45 minutes of diving.

If you love scuba diving, in the future you can go on with your education and take an Open Water Course- the first certification for divers.

The diving spots

First of all you will have an introduction to learn the basic skills of controlling your breath in shallow waters near Vathi. Near the diving centre there are various places to dive for beginners, with a maximum depth of 12 metres. Vardiola is a beautiful reef with flamboyant colours and rich marine life. Gidaki is another reef around where you might dive. Oskopetra cave is a unique dive for beginners to discover a cave - an easy dive in a breathtaking cave.
