Corfu is one of the most popular Greek islands located in the Ionian Sea. It is known for its stunning natural beauty, with sandy beaches, lush greenery, and crystal-clear waters. For this adventure, you'll dive at Kontokali Bay, a beautiful coastal area in Eastern Corfu.

The discover scuba dive session is for complete beginners who want to try scuba diving for the first time, you don't need any previous experience. To begin, you'll meet the certified instructor at the dive centre in Kontokali Bay. You can choose a small group session, with a maximum of 4 participants, or a private 1:1 session. There is also an option of a dive from the shore or a boat.

After a quick introduction, you'll receive the full scuba diving equipment, including a mask, a snorkel, fins, a buoyancy compensator, a regulator, a tank, and a wet suit. The instructor will go through a safety briefing and teach you the basics of scuba diving and how to use the equipment. Then, you'll practice breathing underwater in a shallow pool for about 10 minutes. Once you feel comfortable, it's time for your first dive!

You'll either dive directly from the shore at Kontokali Bay, or you'll take a short boat ride into the open water. With the guide, you'll dive underwater and experience a whole new world! The bay has shallow water which is ideal for beginners to learn how to dive. The water temperature ranges from 17-27 degrees Celsius during the summer months and the water is crystal clear offering great visibility to depths of 10 metres (33 feet), the perfect scuba diving conditions!

You'll dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres (39 feet), exploring magnificent reefs. For the boat dive, you'll explore around the small nearby island of Lazaretto. You'll encounter many different marine life in the Ionian Sea, including colourful reef fish, octopus, cuttlefish, and even Loggerhead sea turtles! At the end of the sensational diving experience, you'll return to the dive centre in Kontokali Bay.
