Padi Open Water Diver Course in Nea Makri on the East of Athens

Get your first scuba diving certificate in Schinias’ bay crystal clear waters. By completing this course you will be certified to dive everywhere in the world, rent equipment or continue your dive career.

Meet your friendly instructors and get your Open Water certificate with a course of 3-4 days allowing to dive down to 18 metres. The best diving spots around Athens can be found in the Marathon cape and Schinias, where the diving centre is located. Only 45 minutes from the centre of Athens, you can combine the Scuba diving diploma with the vivid Athenian life.

The Open Water certificate is the first certificate for divers, allowing you to dive down to 18 m. You will first meet in class with your instructor, where you will open up the world of scuba in theory. Once you've covered all the safety instructions and get acquainted to the scuba equipment, you will train with your instructor in shallow water (pool or sea) where you will be able to take the first breaths underwater. You will have to complete thereafter 4 dives in open water to get your certificate. The Open Water course can be completed over 3-4 days depending on your schedule.

If you do not have the time for the Open Water course, you can simply take the Scuba diver course that can be completed over 2-3 days. It's the same format, with theory class and practice but you will only have 2 Open Water dives to complete.

The diving spot is in Nea Makri. The water is clear and you will have great visbility underwater. You will be diving in different spots around Marathonas and Schinias bay.
