Come and watch the whales in Tahiti from Taravao, north of the Taiarapu peninsula, where a few boats go for an exceptional experience!

Get away from Tahiti's busy west coast and head to the south-east of the island, to the Isthmus of Taravao, to head out to sea in complete tranquillity, with no other boats around. By joining this whale-watching tour from Taravao, you will have 60 km of coastline to yourself, ideal for tracking down these incredible cetaceans that pass through Polynesian waters from late July to early November!

You will board the boat in a small group of no more than 12 participants, accompanied by a passionate instructor who will be delighted to share with you a wealth of information about humpback whales in Tahiti: their lifestyle, behaviour, interactions, etc. You will even be able to listen to the males singing via hydrophones - an amazing experience!

You will spend around 3.5 hours at sea, first searching for cetaceans (a phase that will vary in length depending on your luck), then observing them from the boat once they have been found. This second stage will enable the team to determine whether or not the animals' behaviour will allow you to take advantage of a launch to admire them up close while respecting the necessary safety distances. It will then be up to you to decide whether or not you want to take part in this snorkelling experience with the whales in Tahiti!

If you are looking for an authentic whale-watching experience in Tahiti, away from the many tourist sites in the west of the island, don't wait any longer to head to Taravao and join the incredible Mokarran Diving team!
